Okay, not really.
But that'd be cool! If I had midget ninjas...>_>
In all seriousness now, as well as the actual topic...
Are there any plans to make the base PvP?
>___< I hope not. That would suck...

There are no plans to make the base raid-capable or PVP enabled. While a couple of members enjoy PVP, the majority (from what I've heard) are neutral leaning towards disliking it. And frankly, none of us are good enough to fend off dedicated die-hard PVPers. Now, we may put in a couple of defensive rooms for RP purposes. But there will be no vault, no items of power, and no dimensional anchors. Not unless we have a supermajority vote of the SG to do so.

Okay, good. I always want to...confirm... *washes off the marker* ...changes before they happen. ^_^;;; Juuuust in case I wake up one day and get the following: Agent Storm (XX:XX a.m.): Where are you? We're being raided! Agent Storm (XX:XX a.m.): KERIAN! COME ON, we've lost the hospital! Agent Storm (XX:XX a.m.): Dammit, Kerian...you're supposed to be up!

Actually, I think it works like this: Instant Raids are consensual (you have to agree to be raided at the time it happens, there's a /raid_invite command) and consequence-free (i.e., wrecked equipment is all automatically repaired). If we were to do Cathedral of Pain (which is not running yet on live anyway) and get an IoP, we would have to schedule a 'raiding window' of 2 hrs. per week when the base would be attackable without permission. Then, if someone wanted to raid a base and steal goodies we'd get 48 hours' notice to marshal our forces. However, anything the enemy smashes during that raid might have to be replaced since there's a chance it would stay smashed. Also, I've heard conflicting reports on how much choice you have on your target in "real" raids. I can't find it on the forum now, but I seem to recall reading that your victim is randomly selected when you pick a day and time for your assault, to prevent SGs from protecting one another by signing up to raid the same group every week and never actually doing anything.
So if we wanted to, we could make a raid-capable base and never do any raiding unless there was a strong RP reason for it planned out with our opponents in advance. If we had the prestige to plant a Raid Porter, I don't see any real reason not to, but I can understand not wanting to "get into" PVP as a regular thing.

Pvp is somthing im not against. but i'm sure like a lot of you i don't intend on doing it full time. i mean i could see afriendly RP sesion in Pocket D get out of hand and turn into a brawl. and since DJ Zero has forbidden fighting in his club we could "take it outside".
I give the scenario a 15% chance of actualy working as intended since most of the Villains ive met have been arrogant thingy wavers.

First post! ;D Personally, I plan to be fairly active in PvP, though how much depends on what I would have to change on HC's build, once I get her to L50 and get her slotted with some hamidon-class enhancements. I'm already becoming a regular at the Golden Giza events (and anyone that wants to come watch is more than welcome!), and I've also signed up for Luther Lyte's server PvP league. I've also offered up my idea of having a monthly SG night in Recluse's Victory, once it goes live; the idea being that, for that one night, our task would be to protect/liberate one pillbox as best as we can. That being said, I realize that everyone isn't into PvP, which I totally respect. In fact, if I can't make my tanker's build at least somewhat viable in both PvE and PvP, then I won't do much beyond the league and the Giza events. Either way, if anyone that is interested wants to join me when I'm in the PvP zones, just gimme a holler. The more, the merrier!

I truly enjoy PvP. I am drooling over Recluse's Victory, seriously. I might even consider trying out the Golden Giza at some point ... although probably with my blaster, Flam-Belle ... Parker just doesn't do enough damage. I can hold just about anyone, but actually killing them is more difficult. *grins*
At any rate, PvP is fun, it's just not a big part of my game time-wise. RV, I think, will change that alot for me. I *REALLY* enjoy it alot.
